AND both have worked with bruce willis. alan rickman in die hard, and gary oldman in the fifth element.
AND both play my favourite characters (next to ron weasley) in the Harry Potter series.
speaking of which... remember how i said i've been sucked in? i'm now re-reading the whole series. from the very first book. even though i wish i knew so much more, that final book was quite satisfying. and i am so much more appreciative of the potterworld. for instance, i am thoroughly enjoying recognizing characters in the first book who are only ever so briefly mentioned. (sirius black is mentioned in the first book. in the very first chapter!) (and so is dedalus diggle!) it's ridiculous just how well-woven the story is!
ahhhhh.
i cannot wait till they make the final movies.
and ahhhhhh.
man i am just so excited.
NOW. about the fifth movie: man. i hate the whole books-to-movies thing just because time is so limiting! or maybe there WAS a way they could have done less to cut everything down. it was good- but oh, there was so much- SO, SO, SOOO much- more that they could have put in. and ... they better make the next two frikken awesome. the casting director for that movie is awesome, i must say. i mean, i remember when i first watched the movie how i couldn't forgive her for who she chose as mrs. weasley but now i love julie walters and i can't imagine any one else playing her. and the choice of actors!
my favourites so far, (apart from the given perfect choices for harry, hermione, and ron) are gary oldman as sirius black, david thewlis as lupin, kenneth branagh as lockhart, julie walters as mrs. weasely, ALAN RICKMAN as snape, and oh, oh i know i'm - oh no- robbie coltrane as hagrid.
(i should give up making the list. evidently- i think EVERYONE was casted perfectly.)
mmm jason issacs. as LUCIUS malfoy.. man oh man. i should stop.
okay i'm done.
except i forgot to mention- HELENA BONHAM CARTER. sooo perfect as bellatrix. man, oh man.
