I'm in college.

It's crazy, you know? You live your life knowing that one day, you're going to be living away from home. Doing things that you used to do at home (go to school, hang out with friends, sleep), but you're not there, anymore. No parents to nag you about cleaning your room. No random family dinners.

It's weird, and I love it.

Here's my dad and I, saying goodbye. We were both trying hard not to cry.

On to new people, and new experiences.
Like roommates!

The first day of classes was fine; I decided to stick it out in Math 124. The professor is really nice, and his wife (another mathematics prof here) actually called my house yesterday to convince me that I should stay in Calculus. I thought that was neat. I went to the first day of Math 118 (precalculus), and nearly cried when the lecturer said, "This is a function machine!"

Communications 101 was awesome. The professor. Doctor? Anyway, she reminded me of Professor Trelawney. She was British, had the poofy hair, gauzy draped shawl, bangle bracelets and dangly earrings. She even mentioned Hermione Granger while discussing the syllabus.

Basically, I love school.

Psychology of Gender starts tomorrow. WOO HOO.
