I've really never liked this whole black Friday thing. :/ I'd rather spend $50 and tons of hours making things for people than $300 and an hour or so wrapping everything up. Maybe this makes me an ass but I'd rather have one thing I really want/need from a store than some random thing someone makes. I'm at a point where I have enough stuff, sentimental and non. I don't need another piece of my sister's handmade jewelry or yet another knitted scarf or something scrapbooky. I appreciate and love the sentiment but I really need a new cell phone and a restaurant gift certificate is a much-needed date , given that I haven't had income to do anything frivilous (even dollar movies, which really hurts the pride).

I kinda hate playing into the omg-deals of black friday, though I do it anyway. BF is the only way I can even dream of even HAVING a TV and I gander the same applies to many people in line - whats one night of lost sleep if it means the family gets something they can enjoy for years? One of my coworkers at Macy's (kids dept) says it seems a lot of people stock up on clothes since they're paying about 1/5 price or less. Even my Mom said she did this, since I'd complain about thrift store pants not fitting well and used shoes just never felt good with my arches and wide feet.
