SPN could you stop emasculating Jensen in your dialog because that'd be awesome. He's a 32 year old man. From Texas. Start treating him like one again, yes? The 'boys' are men. MEN. With beards and strong chins and balls and penises and stuff. They're not metro or asexual or could be in any way mistaken for the opposite gender (note that it is fact that Misha Collins is not confined by such trivials as gender, pah!). Also start understanding the difference between objectifying them (I'll never say no to a shirtless scene) and emasculating them. LET THEM KEEP THEIR BALLS OKAY. So start using words that we do when describing Jensen like handsome, or out shines the sun like the Greek god Apollo or UNF BABEH or sometimes simply keyboard mashing do to incoherency at his impossible features (i.e. asdfghjkl;) And yes we call him pretty, but we're allowed to. We're fangirls. Things are pretty to us simply because 'insanely attractive' doesn't seem to quite cut it and 'gorgeous' is just too long to type out sometimes. But in the confines of the show, Dean is not pretty. He is a man with a leather jacket and a drawl to rival Clint Eastwood and the attitude to boot. He gets bloody and and dirty and has bow legs even though we don't exactly know how that works because I'm pretty sure John didn't have that nor Dean ever ridden a horse. He don't sparkle or paint his nails or wear mascara even though it looks like he does. He doesn't do 'pretty' things, he does manly things BECAUSE HE'S A MAN AND LOOKS LIKE ONE.
If you haven't noticed I have another one of my petty problems that I get with the show. This time it's with how this is the second time SPN has fitted Dean with a feminine-esq comment about his appearance in the past five episodes. I really have a problem with that. The first time I blew my gasgate about this was in the first episode of the season and I'm rather pleased how I kept that bugger on the inside but now again it's like come on Sera, we know DEAR GOD do we know but really!? Really? It's kind of emasculating and I also feel major second-hand embarrassment for Jensen who has on several occasions expressed being uncomfortable when people talk about him in that manor. It's probably because he's a dude and likes being treated like one. Dudes don't like being called 'pretty' or the like. Or at least the real dudes don't. "delicate features" takes the cake though. Delicate?? DELICATE? Really bb, uh no. I'd never argue that Jensen isn't pretty, you all should know already that I objectify him almost every second I see him on screen but I find him pretty in that manish way guys pull off. I crush on him so hard because he's attractive in a way guys should be, not metro-y or on feminish-like that's in style now (I'm sorry if that's your thing, no judgment, it just isn't mine) the only man that pulls that off is Misha for me and that's because he still looks very much dude-ish (broad shoulders, strong jaw: my dealbreakers). You know - when he's not crossdressing.
But there's nothing 'delicate' looking about Jensen. Sure he has lips I'd kill for and he looks like he curls his eyelashes but come on, I don't see how anyone could go up to Dean and call him any describing word you could dub a flower. In the same context.
So SPN, Sera, or to whom it may concern. Leave Dean his manly balls and start treating him like a 32 year-old man from Kansas that drinks whiskey straight from the bottle and with the last name Winchester. Yeah, like the gun.
So anyways, I'm going to go actually finish watching the most recent episode. Um...I haven't decided if I'll post again (of course I will because I have random SPN-related things to gush about) about it but I do expect to spam post now that I've been paid and can use my photobucket account again. Now all I need to do is cash the check so I can get my icons back. My lovely icons. :whimper: Sorry about the ranting, I needed that off my chest real quick. I have the most ridiculous pitiful issues with Supernatural sometimes. It's quite ridiculous. Anyways, I LOVE YOU ALL . <3 EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T BEEN AROUND TO SAY SO, I DO. ♥
