our names will be as like household names

It's been a few headachey and unfocused days, filled with work stress and related wave of misanthropy; mostly I've just wanted to avoid people, conversations, & decision-making, and crawl into bed (with some luck next to a cat, sharing the sun spot) to read/nap/drink tea/nap again. But the weather is BRILLIANT and warm, for the past few days I got to wear dresses and skirts and slick little boots, and so I need to get over this hump (heh) and aim at the weekend with some goddamn cheerfulness in my heart.

(Plus, I'm still shaken by last night's fatal shooting on the subway platform of a station I go through every day on my commute. My train slowed down and didn't stop; the platform was empty except for a bunch of cops, surrounding something; and it wasn't until later that I found out the shooting happened just minutes prior. It's horrible, and commonplace, and for some reason this is upsetting me more than last week's close encounter with a homeless guy who tried to sit on my lap on the subway. I... might need a mini vacation, just a weekend trip out of town, if I can swing it.)

ANYWHO. A few links:

Greek Mythology Bingo! Especially amused by the "That's not how genetics work," "Nymph turns into a plant," and "Goats" squares.

The Judgmental Subway Map for Manhattan - ha! Am now waiting for the Brooklyn equivalent.

Walk the Moon - Shut Up and Dance - a multifandom movie dance compilation vid. DELIGHTFUL. I recommend watching it when you're in a location where you can bust a few moves, because you'll wanna.

Well, that was a Wednesday. Glad we made it, friends. ♥
