Day 11: ...oops.

Sep 22, 2014 10:23

Skipped a few weeks of posting there; alas, I knew it wouldn't be possible to manage daily posts while traveling/on vacation, so - moving on!

(For three days, I literally did not have wi-fi indoors because we were staying in a beautiful Greek villa made of stone, whose walls are apparently impenetrable if your router is elsewhere on the property. Outdoors was the pool and a jacuzzi, a fruit garden full of pomegranates and figs, a vineyard, hammocks, a treehouse, and the beach a few hundred yards away. At night, when I'd finally remember to turn on the electronics and check my mail on the balcony, the mosquitoes would congregate a bit too enthusiastically to stay for longer than 5 minutes. No regrets.)

Right now I'm staying with a friend in Belgrade, for the final full week of my trip to Europe. His place is lovely, he's a wonderful host, and - this might sound weird, but: I like the way I look in his mirrors. We'd been friends for what feels like forever and always fit very well into each other's lives, brought out some very good things out in one another over the years, and... well, it's a treat and a privilege that I get to spend some time sharing his space & getting inspired about the changes I want to make in my own life. YAY, GOOD FRIENDS. ♥

Anyway. Here's a pic from the balcony of the stone house, and another of the house itself from the open lounge by the pool:

Yeah, life is pretty amazing. And now, because it's cold and raining in Belgrade and my friend - a man with the right priorities - has the premium cable package, meaning his wifi is EXCELLENT and I just DL'ed 2 episodes in under 3 minutes... guess I'm going to be catching up on TV today.

Hope your Monday is lovely, all.

bez dobrog naslova, life stuff
