In case you haven't seen the trailer for the new Jim Jarmusch movie, Only Lovers Left Alive, fair warning that the next-to-last shot is sort of artistically NSFW (but oh, worth it). It stars Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as a pair of vampires - Adam and Eve, obviously, although Sid and Nancy is the more common reference in reviews so far - who have been in love across centuries; it was filmed largely in Detroit, and seems to be taking full advantage of the city's noir-ness; it looks absolutely GORGEOUS; it's already making me salivate for the soundtrack; and it seems to be DEEPLY FUNNY. (Jarmusch is one hilarious mofo when he feels like it, he's incredibly amusing when he plays with genre, and oh golly, I'm SUPER excited to see him back in top comedic form.)
Also, HOT ROMANTIC HOT VAMPIRES. WHO ARE HOT. INDIVIDUALLY AND FOR/WITH EACH OTHER.
The only thing that prevents me from clawing off my own face because the US release isn't even announced yet - and I missed the screening at the New York Film Festival a few weeks ago because I was abroad, GAAAAHH - is that I get to see Loki 2: The Dark World next weekend. I'm an adult; I can cope with... waiting. Yeah.
(Can I request Adam/Ichabod Crane fic yet? How about now?)
