7 ~ Down Into the Water Black

Oct 22, 2010 23:18

1. 'Walk,' says the voice, so Alester walks.  He walks into the river and the water comes up further and further until he's chest deep.  The ink on his skin--in his skin?--is bleeding into meaninglessness and the current is strong, so he turns around as if to ask whether this is really what the hooded figure wants him to do, but it's as if he's forgotten how to speak.  'Keep walking,' says the hooded figure, voice full of emotion--maybe fear and maybe regret.  Alester takes a few steps further back as if he can't help it and when he opens his mouth again, his mouth fills with water.

2. Pain.  It fills your mind until there's nothing else in the universe.  You would scream, but your throat is already sore and anyway, you're barely aware of your own body, because it's not a physical pain.  It's something much worse, like your soul being ripped in two.  When it becomes too much, you will wake with the knowledge that this is Alester's dream, but not much more.

[ooc: #2 is just there in case anyone wants to ask him about it later.  #1 can also be experienced first person in which case the hooded figure may or may not become Alester.  If visited, expect the scenario to change very quickly with you along for the ride.]
