Who ever said fangirling is stupid and a waste if time… well was probably right, BUT it can be educating after all.
I haven't read a novel in decades, my last books were "No one belongs here more than you" (short stories - I love short stories) and "Prometheus rising" (and that one is just special) so I'm really thrilled right now.
However I ordered "No longer Human" aka "人間矢格" (Ningen Shikakku) aka "the book that was adapted into a movie starring Ikuta Toma as the leadactor" - talk about obsession.
But it's like a rule to me book -> movie, always.
And I'm seriously into learning Japanese therefore this fandom isn't that bad after all :).
