Heehee I got tagged
Okay so this is the first meme I've ever been tagged for. It's a hallmark moment, so here we go.
10 years ago: I was ten years old. It was the summer after grade five and I was about to start a new school, which was scary and eventhough my two best friends were going too, we were in different classes. Grade five was my year of popularity. Me and two of my best friends were the most popular girls in our class, which is ridiculous, and a little funny. I think of these as my Mean Girls days. I was totally the Karen of my group: completely clueless, a little dumb, and third in the structure of power that was our clique. Grade 6 changed that. I was in that category between geek and popular in the late elementary school social hierarchy. It all seemed really important at the time, but now I find it kind of funny.
5 years ago: I was going into grade 11. I tend to block a lot of highschool crap out of my mind, but in the summer I was probably in Ottawa and Perth visiting family, which is how I spent most of my summers before I had to start working.
1 year ago: I was beginning my second year of university. The beginning of second year was tough for me, but I think I came out a better person on the other end. I made a few close friends I probably otherwise wouldn't have. I was forced out of my comfort zone (more than in first year even), which was awesome, and I realized that I have a handful of really great friends.
Yesterday: I went to work and my boss's wife brought their baby into the office. She is one of the cutest babies ever. She's four months, so she's at that stage where she's just starting to laugh and recognize people. Aww, I wish I had nieces and nephews. So cute.
Tomorrow: Tomorrow is still up in the air. I'm not exactly the most forward thinking person so I don't have plans, but I'll figure something out.
5 snacks I enjoy: Hmmm... well it's summer so freezies and popsicles, peaches, Pringles (any flavour), banana bread (homemade), and I guess nachos.
5 bands/artists that I know the lyrics to most of their songs: 1. The Beatles, 2. The Postal Service, 3. Iron and Wine, 4. The Barenaked Ladies, 5. (Maybe) Fiona Apple. I know a lot of her songs.
5 things I would do with $100,000,000: 1. Give a chunk to my parents, 2. Give a chunk to my brother, 3. Go on a nice trip with my grandparents, 4. Set some aside for school, 5. Buy stuff for me (a Mini Cooper, and Ipod, and a bunch of DVDs.)
5 locations I would like to run away to: 1. Dublin. Ireland, 2. Galway, Ireland, 3. New Zealand 4. Australia, 5. Victoria, B.C.
5 bad habits I have: 1. Procrastinating, 2. Arguing with my parents, 3. Talking too much in coversations, 4. Leaving my room a disaster zone, 5. Putting my laundry in the laundry room, ignoring it for a week, and then getting mad when someone else washes it.
5 things I like doing: 1. Watching movies, 2. Talking about Veronica Mars, 3. Reading, 4. Hanging out with people, 5. Playing around on photoshop
5 things I will never wear: 1. Matching velour pants and zip up jacket a la J-Lo, 2. Golf pants, 3. Fur, 4. a one piece spandex suit, 5. faux fur panties (lol... I ran out).
