Greatest Thing Ever!

today We had band practice, we sounded the worst ever!!haha oh well I think it had to do with me and Mike both using recently acquired guitars and not being fully used to them yet, oh that and Amelia was gone. Soon after band practice I passed out from to much school and not enough sleep. then I woke up at around 1 AM started cleaning up my room and found in this box a heavy duty metal clamp that I bought a long time ago for a piece of metal that came along with it. I stole the piece of metal off it and forgot about the heavy duty
clamp. Anyways I thought "geeze this thing would make a perfect new front motor mount for my Motorized Prewar Roadmaster Cycle Truck Bicycle!" Now I've been looking for thick pieces of sheet metal and clamps at all sorts of hard ware stores to make a new improved front motor mount out of but I coundn't find jack shit that'd work. The heavy duty metal clamp I found Fits perfectly and works perfectly too!! So last night at 3:30 AM I took my Motorized Bicycle out for it's second test drive attempt. (The first time I attempted to start it was 2 weeks ago, that was when the first motor mount I made for it broke, and it wouldn't start.) So last night on my second attempt with new front motor mount in place, I primed the Carburetor, put on the choke and I pedaled it, dropped the clutch and nothing happened. Awe. So I tried again I took her down a hill got some speed dropped the clutch and still nothing happened. I thought maaan, I must of goofed and forgot something important during building the engine. Frustrated I didn't know if it was the spark plug or the engine just not getting any gas, So I pushed the carb prime button a good 20 times while lifting the rear end of my bike to make sure gas would flow from the carb to the engine and tried pedaling and dropping the clutch again and this time it fuckin' started!!! Woo hoo! It was the greatest feelin ever! Better than the time I got my newly rebuilt chevy big block 396 started for the first time. Ok I dunno if it was a better feeling than that, but it's up there folks. It just feels really good since I did all the work my self (Charlie Karr helped bend the coaster brake arm, but that's it) and what sucked was I had to scrounge around forever to find tools and parts, it took me a good 6 months at least. I had I lot of doubts in the back of my mind that I'd ever get it running. And this this thing is running and running wild! It's got some power too! I was able to drive it up hills at only 25 percent throttle with just a little pedaling, but once I get her broke in she'll be zooming up hills at 20 miles an hour easy. It was a lot of fun cruisin' around on Mission at 3:30 am with nobody around. I drove to taco Bell and back, and around the block a couple times. The engines pretty quiet, it sounds kinda like a vespa. I think I may take the muffler off and give it a few more HP and more of a hopped up jalopy hot rod sound. Anyways i'm super excited!! I'll post some real pictures of it tomorrow!
