p.s. lab dramarama today. long story short, one of my labmates has a cease and dissist order against another labmate, who also kicked a 3rd grad student, and now isn't allowed in the lab/building. he's fucked; mentally, emotionally, and in terms of future employment/studies. poor guy (although the lab/department is better without him), hope it's a wake-up call.
p.p.s. finally had a good swim practice! did 1.5 practices, plus abs and rhomboids. but i need to eat more - this morning i wondered if i had an eating disorder. laziness isn't a good excuse not to eat or eat well anymore!
p.p.p.s. we saw a snake on our nature walk today, and i caught a ground beetle. t.a. of the year! we also saw an ambush but EATING a wasp (it's a small bug that hides in goldenrod and catches bugs like wasps that are drinking nectar from the flowers, then injects them with enzymes that turn the prey insides into like a soup, then it drinks it up, eating it from the inside). the wasp was just hanging there, head in goldenrod flower, and the ambush bug was "attached" from above. FREAKY.

p.p.p.p.p.s. david suzuki is giving a talk next wednesday. it's $85 and includes lunch. should i go? i've seen him speak for free before.
