sticky tac spots

Does anyone know how to get rid of the residue/greasy-looking spots that are there when you take off sticky tac from your walls? I've tried a magic eraser.. it started taking the paint off!

i cover the spots on my wall (on wallpaper) with little people i cut out of patterns. i've tried everything too!

if you ever find the magic trick, please let me in on it.

Maybe try rubbing alcohol?
