[action thread] [naruto] [Winter Wonderland] [open to hinata]
Naruto bounded up the steps to his apartment two at a time as he came in from the chill. It was snowing, clumps of lovely, fresh, powdery snow. It'd been snowing when he'd left for work and now it was everywhere. He squished his way through the slushy streets, almost singing to himself, but settling for humming as he walked. It was perfect weather for sledding! Ever since the Transformers event over at his place, he'd been scoping out the best places to enjoy the snow, when it finally decided to come. It'd been bitterly cold lately, but no signs of snow and now... now it would be awesome!
He flung open the door to the apartment with blatant disregard and stomped loudly to his room to pull a large plastic sled from his closet. He'd made the purchase recently, but stowed it away. He knew Sasuke just wouldn't appreciate something like that. Not with his oh-so-refined tastes. He'd probably never been sledding either. Well, he might let Sasuke borrow it later. If he asked nice. But Hinata hadn't tried it yet either and she was about a million times nicer than Sasuke, not to mention being a girl, and even if she was kind of shy, she was still kind of cute. Bonus. He just wished Sakura would have agreed to come too. It was a pity, but that wouldn't keep him from having some holiday fun.
One he'd found a way to carry all his gear without tripping over himself he pulled on his coat and ducked back out the door. He was pretty sure he remembered where Hinata said she worked, but ended up asking for directions a couple of times. Luckily it wasn't too far, though he did cause something of a ruckus trying to bring his sled inside. He waved cheerfully to Hinata.
"Hey!" he grinned, "check it out, it's snowing!"
