8. Appearance: By default, he’s human, 5’6”, lean, muscled, and somewhat scarred, with black hair and gold eyes with lizardlike slit pupils. The nails on his hands are black and very sharp, slightly akin to claws, and his teeth are longer and sharper than normal.
When he transforms, he turns into a monstrous dragon: a twisted sort of parallel to most dragons with an almost human-shaped body, able to stand and move like a human or run on all fours, with a thick, green-and-black-scaled torso and jagged spines running from his skull to halfway down his back and again at the tip of a long, whiplike tail. He is not elegant or majestic like this; he's the antithesis of the nobility dragons stand for.
9. Abilities: Chase is, first and foremost, an incredible martial artist. Over the last 1,500 years, he has mastered as many styles of fighting as he possibly can, both unarmed and armed. He knows how to approach any battle and how to defeat nearly any enemy, having read the texts and having struggled to gain the brilliance of tacticians both ancient and modern. He has greater speed and strength than a normal human; he can withstand damage and pain to unnatural degrees. He has learned the arts of dark magic and is able to do a variety of things with them, ranging from scrying to transformations to raising the dead. However, he prefers not to use magic unless absolutely necessary; he'd rather fight a battle with his own two hands than manipulate forces typically beyond his control into doing it for him.
He is also brilliant in general matters; having had so many years to live, Chase has taken to academic pursuits as much as martial ones. He has mastered languages, read thousands and thousands of books, visited empires before their fall to learn their works, and so much more. There is very little he has not applied himself to, relatively speaking, and he keeps up with current times and advancements fairly closely. He can also transform into his true form: a dragon, detailed in the appearance section. This transformation gives him even greater physical strength and speed, but causes him to be much angrier and more feral in mind - it’s harder for him to keep control over himself like that. More relevant to Holloway, he has excellent survival skills; he has an advanced sense of smell, knows how to live off the land, and can make do with rudimentary or limited materials, though honestly he’d prefer not to.
With the power limitations in the castle, his magic will be intensely difficult to use, and it’s likely he won’t be able to access much of it anyway given he doesn’t have the right tools or reagents on hand. His superior strength and speed will be lessened, and his ability to transform will be badly hampered; the control necessary to do so will render him much less sane when he finally manages it, resulting in a half-crazed animal being set loose on the castle, and turning back into a human will exhaust him to the point of immobility for at least a day, if not more.
10. Languages: Primarily English and Mandarin Chinese, but he’s been around the world so many times that he knows a very, very wide variety of other languages and speaks them near-perfectly.
11. Items: His bruised ego.
Also his armor.
12. Weapons: Chase traditionally fights bare-handed, and won’t be bringing any weapons with him.
