LloydsTSB and the government money

In January there was a campaign to get people to take up a child tax credit that many were owed . I applied and amazingly i qualified. Much to my excitement I qualified, and on Saturday I got a cheque , not for a vast amount but for enough to do a few nice things

If I remember it's standard practice for a cheque to take 3 days to clear at a bank and more with some building societys. I kinda like my bank cos they have made a point of not letting me get into debt, which although at the time was a pain I doo appreciate it now, so hurrah for HSBC.

If you decide to change, don't go for another bank, choose a Building Society like Nationwide :)
