What a week!
What a Week! WOW! I haven't worked that much since last summer. But it's nice to see things are picking up and I can finally look forward to a good paycheck every two weeks. This week I worked like a minimum of 11 hrs a day except for one. So my next paycheck should be really good. I was a little annoyed however that my full time job booked me to work today. They know that I teach hockey on Saturdays yet for some reason they book me to work every so often on Saturdays. Oh well they did without me today since my commitment is to teaching. I was gonna try to find someone to cover my shift teaching today but decided against it.
I guess I'll begin quickly explaining who I work for. I work for a company that specializes in commercial office relocations as an Office Furniture Installer. But lately we've been trying to get more jobs that involve installation of office furniture systems(i.e. cubicals, ect...) Neways we just got contracted a job to do a re-configure of a certain type of system(I would tell you guys that name of the product but you probably don't care..:) ) and if we do an exceptionally good job there is a possibility that we could get allot more contract from this company to install for them since we do not work directly for a company that sells furniture. This is what we have been waiting for to do for a long time now. So to speed things up a little I told my boss who was under the impression at first that I was working today on the job again.(We started the re-config. yesterday night) That I would try to find someone else to take my shift teaching if he badly needed me to help with this job today. So after we left the job and went back to the shop I checked my hours for the weekend and found out that they had indeed scheduled me to work today even though they know I don't work for them on Saturdays. However; I wasn't scheduled to go back to the same job doing the re-config. but instead another job all together. Sufficed to say that right there I stopped trying to find someone to take my shift teaching today because I wasn't going to bail on the job that I love doing and have done for the last 4 years if it wasn't for something that would help our company get what we have all been hoping and waiting for. And thats pretty much that!
Teaching today was great through. I really enjoyed it cause we worked on an aspect of goaltending that tends to get over looked all the time but is the main key to being a great goalie. I guess since it's so simple it tends to get over looked and not focused on and goalies tend to do it poorly which cause all sorts of other problems. I love teaching especially the younger kids cause they're great and allot of them are so into goaltending that they always have a smile on their face out there on the ice. :)
Neways I work tomorrow and most likely all week which will mean a sweet paycheck come two weeks from now. :)
