GAS, read and heed!

Okay so here is what you NEED to do!

1. Excess trips aren't necessary. Right now more than ever we need to conserve gasoline. Try car pooling in a fuel efficient vehicle and not going out every other day, try to limit it.

2. Pressure your lawmakers to take taxes off the gasoline, they are making a profit. Although that money does go towards highways and roads around town their profit is accounting for that town economy's pain.

3. Since so many of us have bought into the "fad" of owning a big gas guzzling vehicle our nations demand has increased significantly. Consider trading your vehicle in for a more economical car or hybrid. If you have more than one vehicle at your disposal consider taking the more fuel efficient vehicle and perhaps car pooling with people in your area.

4. People overexagerate when a rumor goes around town that gas is running out. If you aren't empty then don't fill up. Your best bet would be when it's at 1/4ths of a tank then fill up or start looking for gas. If an item is in high demand then the item will cost more, let's decrease some of the demand and pressure on getting more gas.

5. Prices don't HAVE to be as high as they are. Don't just settle for a gas station that's over charging for gas just because they are closer or their lines are shorter. Be wise and spend money at an inexpensive gas station (inexpensive, HA!). By doing this you aren't letting the industries believe, "They're desperate for gas, we can charge them anything." Let them know that you are still concerned with prices and competition is still alive. Then and hopefully they will lower their prices to attract more customers.

6. If you think a gas station is overcharging and their prices jump higher and higher between the hours of the day and no other station is doing that, COMPLAIN! We are all affected by the tragety of Hurricanes, that doesn't mean they should profit!

7. Spread the word. These steps will only work if many people are involved with this process. We all have to do it together. One person can make a difference but 20 can make an impact! So repost this to as many people as you can. Let's fight back against outrageous gas prices. Our economy depends on it!
