yesterday
i went to the Family Values Tour: Droid, Neurosonic, Hellyeah, Trivium, Atreyu, Evanescence and Korn with Aliya, Liz and their friend Gabe.
It was nice to see Ev. again. They were my first favorite band, first rock concert, everything. it was interesting. it was seated, but a little festival like around nissan pavillion and an all day event (which i didn't know until the day before).
amy lee was amazing and took me back to the first type of music i was into. on the way out we heard taking back sunday on a radio or something, and i don't like them but their sound reminded me of bands i really do like...and it was interesting how i've changed.
i also saw young evanescence fans, looking how i looked and felt the first time i saw evanescence, and it was almost therapeutic. i wanted to yell, "Everything does NOT suck, it will get better, don't worry little emo ev. fans" haha
i mean,yeah my music taste has changed a lot, but i'll always like ev. and feel a sense of familiarity with kinda metal-ish bands cuz that's where i started. that's what i thought i'd like.
i'm glad i've changed. haha. the concerts i see now are more fun (and usually not seated).
