Chin up my friend. Even (especially?) if there is no just cause for it. It says a lot about you when you want other people to be happy, and speaking as one of your friends, I want YOU to be happy as well. Don't worry yourself about results so much as your effort in those friendships, love is not something you can do "enough" in my mind. there is no too little or too much it just is, and if you love those people that IS enough. If they can't appreciate it, it's not your fault, and it's certainly not you not loving them enough. You care about them and they are blessed (if thats not too religious a term for the point) for it. Whether they'll be able to see how much you care isnt in your domain, let them be what they will be, love them anyways, and I say you're doing right. Things will always work out, one way or another, and the best you can do is the best you can do. Keep on giving it, whatever it is from day to day and you'll be helping as BEST you can.

Having bought a car semi-recently, you are right to consider it a major expense, if it's absolutely neccessary to buy one, I highly recommend finding a used one in the classifieds and going with a toyota / nissan / something else with a very good reputation for lasting, preferrably sale by owner not by dealership. You can find a decent car for under 2 grand that will last you, but it wouldn't be without some searching. If you can, buy the car outright, (Save up first if neccessary), otherwise your insurance will have to be full coverage, which costs a lot more.
