INJURED BOY IDENTIFIED: Police on Friday identified a boy who was critically injured by a hit-and-run motorist the afternoon before in Christiana Hundred. New Castle County police spokesman Cpl. Trinidad Navarro said Jeremy Mroz, 15, of Wilmington, remained in critical condition in Christiana Hospital. The boy was found unconscious near Boxwood Road and Jackson Avenue about 4:40 p.m., with injuries that paramedic spokeswoman Sgt. Kelli Starr-Leach said included head wounds and a broken pelvis, leg and clavicle. He was outside Party Pizza in the 200 block of Boxwood Road when an adult acquaintance inside the restaurant told police he heard the teen shout "Stop, let me go." The adult told police he went outside and saw the boy either hanging onto a red car or being held by its occupants. A van swerved to avoid hitting the car, Navarro said. The boy was run over by at least one of the vehicles, police said; both drove off afterward. Investigators ask anyone with information to call 395-8171 or visit the police department Web site at
