What the fuck! Why does this company have no morals? They are preying on people's weaknesses, their insecurities, their lack of confidence, their inadequacies. Like sea lions preying on baby iguanas.
That is the problem with their advertising. The problem with the drug is much deeper. The problem with the drug is its existence. Or rather, the impatient, work-phobic culture that has created a desire for the drug. There are more obese people in America than any other country in the world. And we now have a drug that will encourage fat people to continue doing everything that has made them fat and still promises them that they will lose weight. People are so impatient, so scared that they believe it and buy it. They buy a drug and continue sitting on their fat asses, not exercising, not eating healthy food, not eating the correct portions, and expect to lose weight.
And maybe they do lose weight. I don't know if the drug does what it says it does. If it does result in weight loss, there is no doubt in my mind that any weight lost while on the drug will simply come back when off the drug. It doesn't claim to control hunger or boost metabolism or do anything that would allow a person to pay attention to their habits while not being a victim of those habits. Smokers, for example, will use the nicotine patch so that they know any cravings they have for a cigarette are simply habitual, and not a result of nicotine withdrawal. This allows them to break their habits without feeling a loss of sanity from withdrawal symptoms. This lipozene simply promises that it will attack your fat cells or whatever and destroy them like Hun's attacking China and destroying peasants. So, once the attack is over,you keep eating and couching, and like peasants fucking, those fat cells begin to multiply again. And sooner or later, you are fat again because you took the promised fast easy way out! The bad habits that cause people to get fat were never confronted and so were never broken. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to be conscious of your diet and to exercise. This drug is not the answer.
Yet it claims to be. It claims that it will solve all your problems. It promises to free you from your shameful weight. It promises renewed confidence, happiness with your body. It is one more example of how fucked our culture has become. How weak and scared and desperate. How greedy, capitalistic, and unscrupulous. This drug will not solve any one's weight problems, but it will solve some people's money problems. Namely, those selling it. They are the only ones benefiting from it. And that is sad and mean.
