(no subject)
Well, Rigoletto closes today. And truly, it can't be soon enough. It feels like this show has gone on forever. Luckily, I've been able to mix it up a bit, by filling in for some of the wig/makeup crew; Lonnie for the final dress rehearsal, and then Karalynne for these last 3 performances. Which means, I have to get there 2 1/2 hours early (rather than my own 1/2 prior call), so that Betty can get me into makeup before I start everyone else. Then it's the mad rush to get into my wig and costume, just to do the first 20 minutes of the show. Thank goodness we get to leave right after that! And then I'm torn- the cast party is today, at the same time as the Oscars. Well, not that torn... Since I made vegan chocolate cupcakes (with hint'o'mint cookies) for the girls last night, I'm not really in the mood to make anything to take to the party. And with the rainy windy crapola out there, staying in with some popcorn and watching the awards sounds quite inviting.
In other news- I get to house to myself for almost a week! Well, 5 days, but that's almost a week, right? I'm shipping the maternal unit off to Florida, to stay with Aunt Fran and Uncle Bill. And Uncle Steve will be there at the same time. Twin bonding and all. Can you guess what I'll be doing that week? Cleaning, exercising and eating healthier, that's what! I SO need it. Is it bad for me to be happy to be on my own, with no one to answer to?
Oh, and I guess I should start to tackle the whole tax return situation. Gah, I really hate having to deal with them. I miss the good ol' 1040EZ days. And neither Mega Millions nor Super Lotto have come through for me, so, alas, I trudge on.
The countdown to Puerto Vallarta has begun!
