weekend update
so this weekend was damn good i'd hafta say. On friday not much happened. I went over and watched Bio-Dome at Brian's on friday and had a few beers. I hadnt seen the movie in like a year so it was a good time. I love that movie. Afterwards I went home and just couldnt sleep. I was too energetic about the movie meeting I was goin to on saturday and a little nervous that i might not get job...it doesn't pay or nothin but it's great for my portfolio and its gonna be shitloads of fun.. I ended up gettin like three hours sleep
The next day I went to the meeting. It was in wallingford out in the boonies but not hard to get to. The writer director of this starwars fanfilm has an awesome huge house. it was really hard to figure out which house was his though cause all the houses were at the top of this big hill away from the road and most of the mailboxes had no number. after five minutes though he came outside and I figured it out. The directors name is eric. He is a reel cool guy, thirty years old, that just got outta film school. I was expecting him be be one of those typical starwars nerds but he was definately not, well i mean he did now his shit about the whole starwars universe thing and he did play the roleplaying game and all, so maybe he was a geek at heart but not one of those obsessive ones. He actually has a bunch of screenplays written and hes usin this one for portfolio into getting a reel production studio to pick somethin up, which is what we're all doin, and a good starwars fan film, will boost all our jobs resumes up. The story he has written too is damn good. the plot really kicks ass. its about "what is evil and in who's eyes" type of thing.. it really didnt have to be a starwars movie either, just using the darkside as an analogy really works well. The only problem, which is a big one that I see, is that almost all the charecters are aliens.... this makes my job VERY hard. theres only two of us that know anything about monster make up and neither of us have actually worked on a movie before... I know how to do alot of stuff but its gonna take alot of work and alot of money and alot of people. I mean, shit, ill work on it no matter what, im not gettin paid so im there ta have fun but I need more than me and another kid from paier. Hey if anyone at all, is interested in working on this movie, let me know!!! i'm serious. it will be fun. if you have any artistic ability and or are able to to or help with make up and prop design or charecter devlopment please help me!! I have shcoolwork to do also and this is gonna take alot. it will be worth it in the end though. you'll have a movie with youre name on it!!! for everyone to see. and since its free to see it.. i mean EVERYONE to see.
Afterwards I went to kate and alonda's we hung out and drank a few and watched FREAKS!!!! that was awesome. we also watched the red sox loose... that sucked. but hey they one last night.. ya see kates a yankee fan so it made watchin the game on saturday even worse.. but anyways we did that played with the puppy from downstairs... I love that dog.. and listened to this guy rich whos one of kates freinds that sleep over, snore for about eight hours or so nonstop he was sleepin for a while during us partyin. I ended up goin ta bed around 7 30 or so and I woke up aroun 2 in the afternoon...after that we watched grease and fell asleep again on the couch watchin it. i woke up and raced hom for band practice.. we wrote a new song or two for our show on november third at alchemy which is good. everyone should go to that. its free and and there is free food and 2 dollar beers and brians gonna have a special treat at the end of the show!!!
thats about it.. im gonna make like a emo kid at a hardcore show.. not ta be found
