NnoiNel Manifesto Mark 2
by femmelujah

Largely a response to several doubts, and aging nearly 3 years, I have made some addendums to my opinions and felt some things about NNoiNel needed to be restated as well as redone.

And so it begins..again! )

Actually, there's a better way to prove that Nnoitra didn't want to kill Neliel when he attacked her:

He explicitly states here that he expects her to return here. He basically attacked her to slow down her growth as a fighter, hoping that he would become stronger than her if he only has enough time and she is prevented from training. I've seen people claim that he wanted to get rid of her here once and for all, but that is contradicted here.

It's confirmed again here, where he says that it's a shame that they won't be able to fight again:

But yeah, when he is done attacking Neliel, before she transforms, Nnoitra looks melancholy and solemn. He only gloats and cackles when she unexpectedly transforms into a child, but shortly after that, he expresses the aforementioned regret for not being able to fight Neliel again. So yeah, he wanted adult!Neliel to return, and believed to have lost that chance. His plan had gone wrong.

That's honestly what I was trying to say. What my main point was that he didn't want to kill her in general as opposed to killing her in that instance. He didn't want to kill her in that instance and that doesn't even need to be proved- he dressed her in rags and threw her down to the base of Las Noches but did not kill her, so that particular instance doesn't really need proof imo

Ah, I just think that it was better to stress that he said that he expected to meet and fight here again. Since I actually saw the claim in the past that he attacked her so that he would never see her again, which was just patently wrong.

Oh wow. That's a little...ridiculous. I might amend it with a note that you put that in. Thanks a ton!
