Journaling again!!
Life has been hectic these past few weeks - in a good way of course. Positive progress!!
I recived my marriage license on Saturday, August 22nd. Our official anniversary is July 17th. Damien and I started dating 5 years ago, to the month/day in 2004. So I went to the DMV on Monday & the SS office on Wednesday. I changed over everything. Pretty crazy, I've been a Husfelt for almost 30 years. I'm going to miss that. :)
We're finally moving on the first. I'm going to miss Cerise. I grew up on Cerise, I spent half of my 20's in that apartment. My manager was the best!! His name is Jerry, that man looked out for me in more ways than one and he never kicked me out or got mad at me. Thru all my BS! He had my MF back. Jerry is going on 70 but I swear you'd never know it. He kept my ghetto mecca so clean and tidy. He's too dope. Melissa moved out on August 7th. She was there for 14 years. Talk about growing up on Cerise! I miss her so much, we had some pretty great conversations and wine nights. One of our favorite phrases is " everything is in DIVINE fucking order", she called me her Charlie's Angel. Man she kept me company during the time Damien was away. We really had some good (and bad) times. She came over on Monday to look at her old apt one last time before it was to be rented on the 1st. I stopped by, and man while we agreed we were going to miss our ghetto gay mecca, we were also so happy to get the fuck outta there!!! I still remember the first night Damien and I spent the night on Cerise. We felt so uncomfortable being on the 8, after Deidre gave me our 30 days. The carpet wasn't even changed yet, but we made a pallet in the middle of the floor and spent the night..haha...Too cute. He paid a smoker to move all my stuff. My mattress fit on top of his friends old school Fleetwood! The rest of my stuff fitted in my Honda! That was my first place all on my own. Besides the Apt I got in Rancho Santa Margarita when I was 20 with Deidre. THis is life, and I'm ready to start my 30's a married woman! Bye Bye Cerise! Ima miss you Mr B's. :)
