so when the fall out happened in 1991, it really was like a breakup, and Bri got custody of all the friends in the "divorce." Everyone thought I was a bitch who led him on and broke his heart. ( I wasn't, and I didn't, and I spent months crying and sick over it and asking anyone I ran into if they'd seen him and how he was doing.) but anyway... over the years, a number of them have drifted back into my life as facebook friends. there have been a couple of face to face meetings, but no regular contact.
We announced our engagement a little while ago, and this weekend I get a fb group message to me and a bunch of other girls from school. Wanting to know, would we like to start a bunco group.I have never played bunco and I have exactly one local girlfriend. but now I have a standing once a month date with girls I was friends with in high school. My world is getting strange. Good strange, though. I teased Bri that if I'd married him sooner I'd have gotten my friends back faster.
