Harry Potter - preliminary foo
geekchick and I would like to get a group together to see the new Harry Potter movie, which comes out in a week and a half. We're thinking we should go on Saturday the 19th, in the afternoon, since Friday night will be harder for people to get to and likely mobbed.
The tentative plan is to see the 3:25pm showing, in Bethesda. The theater is about a block south of Bethesda Metro. There is also ample parking in the area. Afterwards we can walk (roughly 5 blocks) over to Union Jack's, a British style pub in the area, mentioned in my last post. One of their rooms is decorated akin to The Leaky Cauldron, providing a nice Harry Potter tie-in. They have a full menu which looks quite nice, check it out.
Since the movie is more than a week away, it doesn't show up in too many theaters in the online ticketing sites. I suspect that more showtime information will be available this weekend, once it's < 7 days beforehand, so for now all this information should be considered tentative.
