Inspirational/sappy thought of the day - crushes
(Semi-inspired by a post queenofhalves made about having the confidence to talk to people who are "too attractive to be approachable".)

In my dream, Nixie and I were riding my Express Bus to Farragut (the 11Y, as it is known), and she and I were pointing people out to each other that we had crushes on. Mind you, these folks were my usual commuter folks - typical Washingtonians, dressed in the office drone attire, eyes forward, reading the paper, using their blackberries, listening to tunes, and paying no mind to Ms. Q and myself. (IRL, the people on my bus can be kind of boring, so this is funny to me.) We giggled like schoolgirls as we wondered whether any of them had crushes on either of us.
At one point, she decided she wanted to find a way to approach them, but we couldn't figure out how to pull it off without feeling dorky. So we suddenly found these business cards with witty and sexy sayings in our messenger bags, with our names/numbers on them, and decided that as each person we had a crush on got off the bus, we'd slip one of our cards into each crush's pocket as they passed by us.
After liberally dosing our crushes with business cards that they'd find later as they did their laundry or whatever, we decided we done good, and took ourselves clothes shopping as a treat. (I'm sure this last bit is b/c she mentioned in her LJ that she wanted to go clothes shopping soon.)
