Day 09- Your beliefs in great detail.
I believe in God. And Jesus. But not the typical Jesus of modern-day Christians. I believe in the Jesus/Josh that went around hanging out with the riff-raff, the hookers, tax-collectors (on par with drug dealers in modern day), the sick, the poor and the hungry. Not the Jesus that is the feelgood beacon of the self-righteous, with their guns and their bibles, their denial of other's basic rights, and their consumerism. This dude said "Sell your crap and give the money to the poor, and follow me." I like Josh. He's an inspiration, and I like talking to him. I don't like what he's made out to stand for now. I don't like that missionaries give food to hungry kids just to convert them. Their caring and their work should speak for them.
I also love Zen. I like the thought of total balance, especially after my most recent bout with my bipolar disorder. I like to think that every religion has a bit of truth to it.
