One week until I start my final semester of school....I can't believe it. The time really has gone by quickly, though I'm ready to graduate.

In this week's edition of the RU-Screw, the lovely folks over at Parking and Transportation Services (some of the most evil people on the planet) at Rutgers have told me that they don't sell one semester parking passes. You pay one price and get a parking pass for the entire semester. I explained to them that I was graduating early, and thus wouldn't need that parking pass, but they said that was the way it was. So, now I'll have to pay $120 for a parking pass I'm only going to use until December. And, the minute I park in an unauthorized lot, even if it's only a minute, those bastards will be right at my car, writing a ticket and leaving it in their nifty little red envelopes on my windshield. I often wonder what they do with the money they collect from parking tickets. I figure I must have paid them at least $600 over the past four years. Many people I know have paid them a lot more (and you have to pay them to, or they deregister you from all your classes and suddenly you're no longer student). That's a lot of money they make every year. What do they do with it? Have cake parties in the office? Go out to the Olive Branch after work? Have a big pizza party? It certainly doesn't go towards building new parking facilities.

I've recently been turned on to a great new author. His name is James Rollins. If you like the Preson/Child duo (and the types of books they write), you'll love this guy. I've read Sandstorm and Excavation, and enjoyed them both. Right now I'm reading Subterranean.

Can I just say how much I love Target? Everytime I go in there I find all these neat things that are really cheap. And DVD's!! You can get really good DVD's for like $7.50!

The first season of The Muppet Show is now on DVD. I'm really tempted to go out and buy it, but I'm holding back. I may give in very soon though.

I think I'm finally buying an iPod. I'm finally going to be like all the cool kids. :)

How good does the new HBO show, Rome, look? I can't wait for that one.

There is a trailer out for the new Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie, and it looks visually very stunning. I can't wait for this film, which I predict will be a HUGE hit.
