On the subject of greedy roommates
My first day of my second practicum starts today. I'll leave in a few minutes. Wish me luck.
We have a new roommate, Komiko, moving in at the end of the month. She seems nice, so I hope she works out.
Speaking of roommates, we need to think of a way to deal with our other one: Chris. He's been looking after the damn dog, but he's become more and more of a pain. Specifically, he steals our food. He ate a quarter of the quiche I baked for dinner while I was picking Peta up from work. I pointed out that maybe he shouldn't be eating our food like that, and he apologized, but then was at it again last night.
I haven't figured out what foods he hates yet, so I can't just stick mushrooms in everything like I did with my old roommate, Andrew Hornby. We've taken to hiding stuff like cookies and drinks in our room. The guy has drunk more of my beer than I have.
He also asked me for a ride down the road to a friend's house when he was late for a concert. He and his girlfriend got into my car and we started off. Shelbourne is a long road, so it made sense. I asked where I was dropping him off, and he said "Oh, it's near Fort street." That's all the way downtown. Just down the road suddenly became downtown.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Peaceful, for preference.
