Been busy
I haven't posted in a while. I've been visiting family and travelling around a lot. Most importantly, though, I've been spending time with Peta.
Since she arrived, I've been able to introduce her to some of my family and friends. We've gone up to Whistler to see snow. We went to Port Alburni to see my grandfather. Now we're in Victoria for the start of my second semester.
Peta wants to come with me to my first classes and see what they're like. After this week, she'll decide which days she might like to come see. We think we should also look into the public library nearby and see if they'd like a volunteer for a while.
I know everything's really different to her here, and sometimes she gets really frustrated by that, but I think we're settling in okay. Now I'm about to start an even busier semester than the last one, so I'm worrying a lot about how that will affect her. It's not going to be easy for us.
On top of that, my great aunt Freda is in pretty rough shape. We were going to go visit the other day, but she's too sick to see.
So I've got a lot on my mind.
Classes start today. I'll post a rundown of the new ones later.
