There aren't too many things that shock me on TV. There aren't too many season finales that make me sit back and go "OMG, wtf just happened?" Usually things are pretty obvious or I'm not that invested in the show to go OMG. But these are the two times where I've been shocked and/or pissed off.
Oh and warning but this post contains major spoilers so if you don't want to get spoiled for Lost S3 or Primeval S1 don't read on.
S1 finale
Primeval
I got into Primeval a few months ago and I think it's a really great show. It grabs you in and you start to care about the characters and their relationships and even though I wasn't completely invested in Cutter/Claudia I did think they were cute and Claudia had really grown on me the whole season. I just didn't see the ending of S1 coming. It still shocks me. It's a real WTF moment and it makes me pissed and sad. The episode was so good. The furture predator still freaks me out, half ape half bat thing, and it's so friggin scary. I love that they carry it over... that it comes back and it's almost unstoppable. It was crazy that they weren't just able to go in the past, but they could go in the future too and that was a big shocker. I never really thought about it until we saw the future predator. The episode goes on and at the end when they go through the anomoly they first went throguh in the S1 premiere, you realize what that camp site had been... who's campsite that was, who the dead body was and that was the first WTF moment. I was seriously really sad and it was shocking because I just didn't see it coming. Then when Cutter steps through the anomaly the next WTF!OMG came and I was with my jaw on the floor again. It was actually a perfect finale, I really loved the twists and turns and everyhting, but it was pretty shocking. I watch it now and I still hope the outcome is different and that maybe Helen got eaten by that raptor sooner that way none of that would have happened.
Through the Looking Glass Part 2
Lost
The first is the S3 finale of Lost. I know some people don't really see how it was shocking. They might have seen it coming from the beginning but that last scene where Jack met Kate and then he told her they needed to go back... was a serious "OMG, WTF?" finale. I remember watching it with my mom and I didn't read spoilers back then so I had no idea about anything regarding the show until it aired and we were both just sitting there with our jaws on the floor when the episode ended. My mom was so confused, she didn't get why they knew each other and needed to go back. I didn't get it... I guess we were seeing them off the island but they hadn't gotten off yet. The whole episode you thought it was just Jack in the past, being a drunk and suicidal nutjob with a bird's nest bird but the moment Kate stepped out of her car I was shocked. It's probably the most shocking thing that ever happened on the show and it still gets me today.
