Day of Fail

Jun 19, 2009 13:52

So yesterday was amusing. Today has been rather depressing. Jared found a vehicle he really liked, but the dealer who has it is pretty small and offers no financing. So the only way to get it would be through a loan via a bank.

We got up early today (the boy said he was setting the alarm for 8 and it really went off at 7....*grumble*) and jaunted over to the main branch of Wells Fargo. They took our information, but apparently neither of us have long enough (or I highly suspect, good enough) credit histories, 'cause they wouldn't lend to us. Then I get home and surf around the web and discover Wells Fargo doesn't even lend money out on used vehicles older than seven years. Ya know, it woulda been nice to know that ahead of time. Now it just feels like we wasted our time, or at the very least, when people with our sort of credit histories walk in and want a loan, something in their system goes, shunt them to a different, higher interest branch of the organization. 'Cause there was a lot of "if you're not approved here then maybe Wells Fargo Financial can help you!". Ugh. It's enough to make me want to pull my money out and go somewhere else.

I get sick and tired of being pitched to and offered shit I don't need. It's getting old really fast.

Thanks to everyone for your info on loan consolidation. Now that I seem to at least have a vague grasp of things, I can proceed forward. Don't worry, if I have more questions, your email inbox will let you know. :)

Here's to coffee at 10 and Misho's party tomorrow. I think we all could use a lift of spirits.
