Tomorrow morning I'll be on the road heading to the coast. I'm carpooling with one of my buddies from Divemaster class. Sunday evening we'll be picked up from Port Alberni by boat, and from there it's a three hour ride to
Rendezvous Dive Adventures, which can be found on
this map.
All next week I'll be diving in the Barclay Sound, which is reputedly one of the best dive sites in the world. I'm taking
puppytown's digital camera and the underwater enclosure, so hopefully I'll get some decent pictures!
This will be only my second time diving in the ocean, and my first time diving in non-tropical waters. I'm not too worried about the cold, though--apparently the water is warmer than the lakes I'm used to diving here in Alberta.
Wolf eels! Nudibranchs! Anemones! Giant Pacific Octopus! Six-gilled sharks!
