Tonight's movie is called Colors of Paradise. It's about a blind boy in (india?) who's father wants to get rid of him for the father's own gains, and when he thinks he has lost the son, the father wants him back.
It contains the element of love and attachment in the non-romantic sense. The need for companionship; comfort; support, and someones feeling of total abandonment and solitude.
What was beautiful about it was the simplicity with which the producers show life from a blind persons view. Despite the lack of sense of sight, the movie portrays the person's ability to see more than a person with vision. The pace was slow, in the indi/foreign style, but a change from most fast, hi-power, american flicks. Though attention waned at times, it was well worth staying awake for. The scenery and pictoresque landscape were well captured...
anyway, ur tired of reading this "review", im sure... so just go and rent the movie, its well worth ur time.
