Wow...it has been a while since I last updated. Today was a very relaxing day...it's nice to be home...I didn't realize how much I missed it. So I have spent the past 3 weeks at the New Jersey Scholars Program. This is not the typical nerd camp, although everyone here is definitely a nerd. It is actually a lot of fun and the ppl here are amazing, especially the family!
Sleep is a rare thing at NJSP, but staying up till 3 in the morning listening to Sarah (one of my 3 roommates) play the guitar or sitting in the hallway watching ppl is always entertaining. The workload here is tremendous...like 120 pgs of reading each night. The ppl here are soooo intelligent that it can be awfully intimidating at times...but this program is definitely a wonderful experience. I am learning so much about Jerusalem, the Middle East and myself and those around me.
This place is full of new experiences, such as going camping. NJSP is a unique experience. Where else can I debate with ppl about how there is a life after death and how the Israelis should move to Wisconsin without ppl thinking I was completely insane?
I thought I would regret giving up half of my summer to go back to school, but I definitely would do this again if I could. I actually miss NJSP even though I know I'm going back on Sunday and LOL it is so funny cause 30 min after I caught the bus to Ridgewood, Lisa (a member of the extended family, but not the immediate) called me. I guess we all miss NJSP...life will be interesting when it is over for good...we are going to have many reunions!
I got my AP scores today!! I am soooo happy about my psych, history, and english language scores and a little dissappointed about physics, but it's all good.
Oh and one more thing...I cannot believe that some of u have not heard about the Iranian woman giving birth to a frog that looks like a human!! You are sooo out of it if u have not heard about this...lol jk. This frog baby was first discovered by Sarah when she was looking at BBC's website and the rest of the scholars soon found out about it and now I am obsessed with frogs, right? I cannot wait until this baby grows up!! I can be its pediatrician when it moves to America or I can make a house visit to Iran...I'll make it work!!
OK...that's all I have to say...I hope ur all having AMAZING summers!!!
