I got in a wreck today...on my FUCKING break no less! I was on my way back from enjoying some Taco Bell and I zigged when I should've zagged and smashed into the side of this woman's car. The traffic in Foley was horrendous because of Shrimp Fest, and I was trying to make a left turn onto a back road out of the Winn Dixie parking lot...a guy in a truck waiting to turn waved me to go, so being a dumb-ass, I went...and yeah...didn't see that car. My car is Ford tough, so it made it out just fine. Her car's whole right side is fucked, though (not totaled). But I found out the worst thing minutes later...I HAVE NO FUCKING INSURANCE!!!!!
My dad is supposed to take care of all the insurance duties...so I figured he got ours renewed...but alas...when my mom was in the hospital, he couldn't afford it...or afford to tell me, obviously. So, we've been driving around without insurance for over a month now. NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE!
So what the FECK am I supposed to do now? The cop wrote me a ticket for "no proof of insurance." So, I can get the ticket revoked if I provide proof at the Foley P.D. before my court date on Nov. 8th. That will shave a good 200 or so bucks off of my future debt...but how the hell am I supposed to pay the damages? Sigh...I need a miracle (CHEESE). I hope they don't take my license away...
