i don't really get why the dolls are important.

The dolls are important in the Japanese culture for the Doll's festival. The dolls are (in the old days) supposed to take away the bad spirits and luck, then you throw the doll away down a river. And I made that last comment about dolls being put away on the 3rd and if not done so, the daughter marries late. <<<~~~ point of the drabble. It was a subtle implication but it points out that Hinata married before Ino or Sakura; in a way, it's going against the legend and was intended to be ironic. I hope that explained the point.

it sounds interesting. i don't know much about japanese culture but i think along with hinata's watch the dolls you can tell us what these dolls are and the doll festival... from hinata's pov i think you can write a nice story with it.

My reply to god of death should explain a little bit about the dolls. You can also just google it and you'll find some info about it. This was actually intended to be a drabble so I don't think I'll make a fic of it. ^^
