I went to the movie theatre with my sisters and their friend, and as I walked into the main hall I looked around to find children lining up to have their faces painted by the theatre staff, a bubble machine sitting high on a shelf blowing clumps of bubbles out to resemble snowfall, and a "Free Mexican Cocoa" stand. As I waited for the rest of my family, I found myself wandering off in thought as I watched three little girls dancing beneath the bubble machine, waving their arms in the air and giggling. I noticed that one of them was different from the other two. Unlike the others, she did not have fancy shoes and a french-style hat and an elegant top to match a flowing skirt. Yet, the other two seemed completely unaware of the differences and they continued to dance with her as if it didn't matter. It didn't matter that one of the ladies on the staff was shooing them away from the machine because they were in the way of people trying to pass.. it didn't matter that anxious movie goers were making faces of disgust as they tried to find their way around the bubbles that were falling from the sky and sticking to their clothes and hair. All of this didn't matter. They continued to dance and stick their tongues out to catch the "snow", and even if it was for this brief period of time, they were content..
..and I was captivated.
