Stupid horses.

Today the horses in my life--and at the moment, there are quite a few--decided to remind me that they're bigger, stronger, and in charge.

Aside from the usual bumps and bruises that come from grooming and walking racehorses, I now sport a rather large, lumpy bruise on my lower right thigh, thanks to a normally calm horse named Will J, who decided spooking and kicking me was a good thing to do. Stupid horse. The welt is all swollen and raised, and looks like it'll be a nice shade of purple-black by the morning. Thankfully he didn't hit my knee, but my leg is still stiff and painful. As said before, stupid horse.

Then, in my riding lesson today, it was only by the grace of god that I managed to keep my seat and not fall off. It was the first outside lesson of the year for Stinky--she's been longed a bit, but I think that's all--so she used that as an excuse to spook, buck, and generally act like an asshole.

My whole body aches, but I suppose it could have been worse. At the track, a really loud horn goes everytime a rider falls off. It goes a few times every morning, and taking a dive off a working racehorse, well, that's not gonna feel good at all.
