So, I'm feeling contemplative or...something. I dunno. Too much stupid wank and idiocy in fandom (as opposed to, ya know, all that SMART wank?) getting me down and I'm trying to counter it.

What do you see in them--are they 'just like me' or are they something you wish you could be like or what? Why do you love your pairing? How do they work in your head? What's your secret favorite character? Are there characters you love to death but can't write? (Like me with Cosmos)?
In short, tell me what you love about them. There's enough hate and drama and bullshit and wank. Let's share some love.
