That's funny, I was talking with someone about him last week also, trying to remember how old I was when "The Israelites" came on the radio. 9 or 10, I think.

I Can See Clearly Now was 1972, Wonderful World was 1971.

(This would have been posted sooner but I got tripped up listening to a sound clip of Nash's "Guava Jelly", lolol....)

I think for most big time reggae lovers who are *cough* of our generation, most of us remember, like where we were when we first heard that JFK got shot, where we were the first time we heard "The Israelites." I was standing in the breakfast room off our kitchen, on a sunny morning. My father always had WLS out of Chicago on.

Oh god Peter we're sooooo ooooollllllld.......
