Originally had them in an order, of '70s, 80s, 90's, and 00's but if you go and add something else to it, it mixes it all up ( Read more... )

But I love seeing other people's collections, and I bet you have a darn interesting one.

I can't believe I left out Bob Marley and the Velvet Underground, though. Jeez. what was I thinking?

Hm. If I didn't know better, I'd think you liked reggae or something. ;)

Some of my favorite I Love Lucy episodes are the ones with Tennessee Ernie Ford. "Ya mean it's in the house?!"

One of the PBS stations showed an Andreas Vollenweider concert last night. It was pretty interesting. Before, I just thought of him as "that new age harp guy." Hee.

Have you ever heard the album Marianne Faithfull recorded with Angelo Badalamenti (of David Lynch fame)? It's called A Secret Life.

"Aw, man, there goes Peter Frampton's big finale. He's gonna be pissed off."
"You're damn right, I'm gonna be pissed off. I bought that pig at Pink Floyd's yard sale!"

Ahaha!

Yeah, my new age selection pretty much begins and ends with Vollenweider. Unless Loreena McKennitt is considered new age, but I don't know.

Re: album MF did with AB --- NO!! Hadn't hear of it before and YOW, I bet it's something!! (but can't possibly get any more music..LOL) Hey I did forget to add the soundtrack to Twin Peaks, have that somewhere around here too.

The Peter Framptom I added only b/c it was my senior year of high school, the only year of high school I had any fun, so it's rather nostalgic for that reason.

That's what half.com is for:

Some of the Twin Peaks musicians are on the album, as well (e.g. Vinnie Bell, Kinny Landrum, etc.)

You might also want to check out the albums Brian Eno recorded with Harold Budd. One is Plateaux of Mirror and the other is called Pearl.
