The 'Abortion trucks' driving around downtown South Bend, IN, on Mondy, May 11 2009
Randall Terry and his ilk have been in South Bend for a few months staging protests against Notre Dame inviting President Obama to speak at this years' commencement. He promised an "aggressive" protest in a SB Tribune interview weeks ago. They have a plane flying over the campus at Notre Dame carrying an anti-abortion banner with graphic photos. They also have trucks -- posted below-- to protest.
Now, they have the right to free speech.
But, they are using graphic, violent imagery from this nations racist history, supposedly to compare the current tolerance of abortion to historys' tolerance toward lynching African Americans.
I'd like to suggest that it's not a coincidence that they are using this imagery, as opposed to say, imagery from the Holocaust, in a protest against our first African American President.
The police station says their hands are tied b/c it's a matter of freedom of speech.
But if the FBI and the Secret Service aren't already aware of these images being shown around town, then it's time they know.
