Ginger
My brain is just dead from working on projects all day yesterday and today.
I finally got around to the final step of making candied ginger. I had started the whole process back in November but after the two days of candying the mess of ginger slices in syrup I was burnt out. So I left the slices in the syrup in jars in the fridge.
Today I fished all the slices of ginger out of the syrup they were in. They are all laid out on trays to dry overnight. Tomorrow I will roll them iin sugar and they will be done!
Meanwhile, the ginger syrup is planned for some decadent icecream. I'm going to make a batch of vanilla and then swirl the ginger syrup into it during the final freezing process. I anticipate that it'll be pretty heavenly. :)
