I started with
this recipe, and pretty-much revamped it. So here is my recipe.
- Guess at amount of chickpeas, give up, throw two good-sized handfuls into bowl.
- Skip onions and carrots. Grind/grate up two cloves of garlic.
- Smash up chickpeas and mix in garlic.
- Add in 1/4 a Cup of bread crumbs.
- Two shakes of cayenne pepper (or less, or more if you like)
- Three shakes of ginger powder (or less or more, etc)
- A glug or two of tamari soy sauce, to taste.
- Attempt to turn into patties, doesn't work. Get out some sesame seed oil (or your oil of choice), drizzle over "batter".
- Form chickpea mix into four small patties, ditch flour step completely.
- Spritz skillet with PAM, put patties on, heat at medium for a little while on each side. Cooks pretty fast as there isn't too much to cook.
- Put on hamburger bun and serve.
Additionally, I made some lime/ginger mayo to go with it (take some mayo, add lime juice, add fresh ginger or ginger powder, ta da!)
