great shoes
up until i started watching "what not to wear" and began to understand that sometimes sassy shoes actually serve a functional purpose (pointy toes make the line of your leg look longer, great for shorties like me; shoes in vibrant colors add a "pop" and visual interest to a basic ensemble and don't necessarily have to match the outfit, etc.)...i really just wasn't into shoes. since march, however, i have begun to amass a pretty good collection and have gotten lots of great compliments, which makes me all the more eager to find more great "signature" shoes. i'm certainly no imelda marcos, and don't love shoes enough to ever become one, but it is kinda nice to have good stuff on the feet.
one of my recent purchases...clearance at DSW...was a pair of katie & kelly peep-toe heels in this great red shade (they call it "paprika" which makes me laugh). i'd love to post a picture of them here, but since i'm a cheap bastard and don't have a paid LJ account, i can only post images from the web. and since i can't find a damn picture of the shoes...no dice.
suffice it to say they're really cute.
