I went to go and see Alexisonfire, with Jennifer, Catana, and Tynan, it was fucking excellent.
We got there inside the venue by about 5 minutes to 8, that was ok though, we didn't really miss much. The two supporting bands were, Brisk, and Irrelevent. Brisk: The singer sucked ass, he was horrible, but the band, themselves, were ok. We only heard five minutes of them, luckily.
Irrelevent: Meh, they weren't that great. Jennifer felt really sick, so we just sat for the whole thing. These fucking stupid weiners, had no fucking compassion they were kicking Jennifer in the back, which I didn't know that they were doing so, and laughing at us, as we sat down. Jennifer slept during the performance, this I think helped for when we were going to stand for over an hour for Alexisonfire. After the break they were throwing shit at us. I felt like punching one of them in the face, stupid 'In Flames' girl, (I am all talk and no play), she was right behind Jennifer, she even kicked her in the fucking head, I saw that. It was nice holding each other, but they fucked that up.
When Alexisonfire came on, they were brilliant, (I wish it was Saturday again). Catana, and Tynan both went into the pit, and left Jennifer and I together. They played most of the songs that both of us liked, and Jennifer held me the whole time, it was so fucking nice. That's all you need, good, live music, and your other half, holding you<3. The singer was wearing a 'My Little Pony' T-shirt, which I thought was rather cute :P. They played, (not in order) 44. Caliber love letter, A Dagger throught the heart of St. Angeles-(????I am not sure about that one), Polaroids of Polar Bears-(????), Waterwings (and other pool side fasion faux pas), Pulmonary Archery, (which we got confused with Adelleda), Accidents, Control, "Hey, it's your Funeral Mama", Side Walk when she walks, (only one the band members came on stage, and got the audience to sing, it's a really pretty song), No Transitory, (Catana was singing it all the way home:P), White Devil, Get Fighted, and Happiness by the Kilowatt. ::sigh:: It was so damn good.
I can't wait to see them again.
It was scary though, there were so many emo kids it wasn't funny. Jennifer felt like going on stage and screaming out "THE USED SUCK!!!" and see how many kids would want to bash her, I think it would have been the majority. I hate The Used so much, and I heard Dashboard Confessionals for the first time, they are hilarious, but not as bad. I am sorry, but guys don't look that great in tight pants, especially this kid, ::shakes head::, he looked fucking horrible. There were so many, Atreyu, The Used, Bright Eyes shirts, it was like we were being enclosed in emo... It was scary... ::shivers::, but amusing at the same time.
